Electronics Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team in Mumbai. The role requires expertise in precision surface mount device (SMD) soldering, assembly, testing and troubleshooting of electronic components and wiring harnesses. You will collaborate closely with engineers to build prototypes and support continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute precise manual SMD soldering and rework tasks on printed circuit boards, handling fine-pitch integrated circuits, connectors, and passive elements.
• Assemble, wire, and evaluate electrical and electronic panels, enclosures, and wiring harnesses accurately.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and bill of materials to guide assembly and testing activities.
• Support engineers by constructing prototypes, test jigs, and product assemblies.
• Perform fundamental electrical measurements such as voltage, current, resistance, and continuity using instruments like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Diagnose faults and quality issues in PCB assemblies and wiring harnesses systematically.
• Adhere to electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety procedures and promote safe work environments.
• Communicate issues efficiently to the engineering team and suggest improvements in assembly and wiring workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with manual SMD soldering, hot-air rework tools, and microscope use.
• Solid understanding of electrical wiring techniques including crimping, stripping, routing, and harness fabrication.
• Practical knowledge of electronic testing devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and regulated power supplies.
• Capability to read and interpret circuit schematics, bills of materials, and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities coupled with problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Steadiness and a focus on precision during delicate assembly tasks.
