About the Role
Velnet Non Conventional Energy Systems Private Limited is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their solar energy team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience and a diploma or ITI certification in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics disciplines. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation and upkeep of solar PV systems on project sites.
- Perform electrical wiring and cable terminations specific to solar projects.
- Install and connect solar panels, inverters, distribution boards (DBs), and AC/DC electrical systems.
- Identify and resolve faults related to electrical and solar setups.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and routine preventive maintenance.
- Inspect electrical connections, earthing, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Interpret basic electrical and solar system drawings accurately.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols while working at project locations.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers and site supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar PV technologies.
- Proficiency in handling wiring, cabling, solar panels, and electrical devices.
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
- Readiness to work at on-site solar project locations and travel if necessary.
- Good communication skills and ability to function well within a team.
- Knowledge of electrical safety norms and regulations.
