Electrician

About the Role

We are looking for a competent and seasoned Electrician with expertise in residential house wiring and smart meter installation to join our workforce. The successful applicant will possess deep knowledge of electrical infrastructures, safety procedures, and modern electrical regulations, combined with practical experience in both conventional wiring and advanced smart metering systems. Note: Possession of a bike is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive house wiring installations for both new constructions and existing residential properties.
• Install, set up, and resolve issues related to smart meters ensuring alignment with utility requirements and safety protocols.
• Analyze and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and relevant technical documentation.
• Effectively diagnose and fix electrical malfunctions while maintaining safety standards.
• Adhere strictly to national and local electrical guidelines and safety mandates.
• Document all tasks completed accurately, including reports and meter data.
• Coordinate with peers and contractors for large-scale electrical installation assignments.
• Offer mentoring or assistance to less experienced electricians as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrable experience in residential electrical wiring projects.
• Practical exposure to installing smart meters, including single-phase and three-phase units.
• Awareness and comprehension of prevailing electrical codes and industry standards.
• Competency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical manuals.
• Experience with the use of electrical instruments and testing devices.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on safety practices.
• Good communication and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks across various residential locations.

Preferred Credentials

ITI Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical certificate is preferred.
