About the Role

Joining Pyramid Plus, a joint venture between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, this Electrician position based in Oxford offers a full-time, permanent role with annual earnings up to £47,500. The company maintains over 23,500 homes, handling extensive repairs, refurbishments, and installations annually. As part of this dynamic team, you will work in tenant-occupied homes, focusing on electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This role also involves supporting refurbishment programmes and plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards within the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and replace defective electrical components such as socket outlets, lighting fixtures, switches, and extractor fans.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical systems to comply with current safety regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in consumer units (fuse boxes).
• Install new electrical accessories including outlets, lights, switches, and fans.
• Perform first fix electrical activities including full and partial rewiring tasks.
• Install additional sockets, cabling, and related electrical components as necessary.
• Work independently or collaboratively to meet daily repair and completion targets.
• Maintain transparent and professional communication with tenants regarding the nature and results of work performed.
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy following company health and safety policies and risk assessments.
• Provide excellent customer service consistently.
• Utilize IT tools and job management software to organize and complete work efficiently within deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, including AM2 assessment.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition certification (or working towards conversion from 17th Edition).
• Inspection and Testing certification such as 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395 acceptable).
• Valid full UK driving licence with a clean record (must be over 21 with less than 9 points and held licence for over 3 months).
• Previous experience working in domestic or social housing electrical maintenance preferred.
