Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to manage planned installations, alternator repairs, and reactive maintenance of diesel and gas generators. You'll operate both independently at customer sites and collaboratively with a team of multi-skilled technicians primarily based at the Smeaton Grange branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain generator sets and control panels
- Diagnose and troubleshoot generators up to 3,500KVA capacity
- Adapt wiring looms and update electrical diagrams as necessary
- Commission new generator systems, including transfer switches and fuel systems
- Work in close coordination with the Mechanical Service team
- Ensure all tasks prioritize safety and operational reliability
- Travel occasionally as required

Candidate Profile
- Possession of relevant electrical trade qualifications
- Working knowledge of control systems, such as PLCs and relay logic
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics accurately
- Hold a Construction Industry White Card
- Strong teamwork and excellent customer service abilities
- Valid driver's license and preferably a forklift license
- Previous experience in power generation industry is advantageous
- Must be an Australian citizen with full legal employment rights in Australia
