Electrician (Generators)

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to manage planned installations, alternator repairs, and reactive maintenance of diesel and gas generators. You'll operate both independently at customer sites and collaboratively with a team of multi-skilled technicians primarily based at the Smeaton Grange branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain generator sets and control panels
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generators up to 3,500KVA capacity
• Adapt wiring looms and update electrical diagrams as necessary
• Commission new generator systems, including transfer switches and fuel systems
• Work in close coordination with the Mechanical Service team
• Ensure all tasks prioritize safety and operational reliability
• Travel occasionally as required

Candidate Profile

• Possession of relevant electrical trade qualifications
• Working knowledge of control systems, such as PLCs and relay logic
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics accurately
• Hold a Construction Industry White Card
• Strong teamwork and excellent customer service abilities
• Valid driver's license and preferably a forklift license
• Previous experience in power generation industry is advantageous
• Must be an Australian citizen with full legal employment rights in Australia
