Electrician

About the Role

Join one of the largest electrical infrastructure teams in Queensland with a solid job security foundation, engaging projects, and a supportive work environment. This full-time position is based in North Brisbane within the Infrastructure Services team, primarily working on Energex Network installations involving High Voltage systems and large commercial and industrial facilities such as hospitals, major shopping centers, and high-rise buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and manuals to execute electrical infrastructure tasks accurately.
• Identify and solve issues while adhering strictly to job and safety standards.
• Plan work efficiently to ensure necessary equipment and materials are available.
• Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines, electrical codes, and project requirements.
• Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and team members to coordinate work.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Queensland Electrical Licence.
• Possess a valid manual driver's licence.
• Experience working with Energex or Ergon networks is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of high-voltage infrastructure, substations, significant customer connections, or underground and overhead reticulation networks is advantageous.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a high level of accuracy, and a proactive mindset.
• Well-versed in workplace health and safety regulations, along with electrical code adherence.
• Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
