Role Overview
This position is for a full-time, on-site Electrician based in Warragul, VIC. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across both residential and commercial settings while ensuring all work complies with the relevant regulations and standards.
Typical daily duties include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems, performing fault finding, routine inspections, and preventative maintenance. Additional responsibilities involve interpreting technical plans and specifications, preparing the necessary materials and tools for each task, and communicating effectively with clients and team members to produce safe, high-quality, and efficient results.
Qualifications and Skills
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of electrical work and safe handling of electrical systems.
- Competency in the maintenance and repair of electrical installations for both residential and commercial properties.
- Proficient in fault finding, troubleshooting, and effectively resolving technical issues.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles applicable to installations and system performance.
- Possession of a valid A-Grade Electrician license or its equivalent with current knowledge of local electrical regulations and codes.
- Strong safety commitment demonstrated through consistent use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe work procedures.
- Adept at reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Good communication skills with a reliable, team-oriented work ethic.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations within West and South Gippsland and neighbouring areas as needed.
