Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Electrician based onsite in Auckland, New Zealand. The role involves performing routine electrical tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance of systems for residential and commercial settings. Specific duties include handling lighting, power outlets, inverter solar setups, emergency lighting, as well as supporting installations and testing of data, audio-visual, UPS, generators, and Electric Vehicle Chargers (EVC). The position requires diagnosing electrical faults, conducting inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and delivering services aligned with safety standards and regulations. The role entails involvement in 24-hour breakdown assistance on a rotational basis and requires cooperation with clients and team members to ensure service reliability and accuracy in record-keeping.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong understanding of electrical principles with practical experience in site applications.
• Skills in general electrical installations such as wiring, switchboards, and fixtures.
• Experience maintaining and repairing residential and commercial electrical infrastructure including lighting systems, emergency lighting, UPS, generators, and EVC equipment.
• Expertise in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing safe corrective measures.
• Holding a relevant trade qualification or electrical license recognized in New Zealand and familiarity with local safety protocols and codes.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, plans, and technical documents.
• Detail-oriented with a safety-first approach, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Auckland area.
• Strong communication skills and a professional customer service attitude.
