Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Wireman to handle cable installations and maintenance at our Bhubaneswar location. The ideal candidate will be proficient in laying, routing, terminating, testing, and repairing various types of network cables including CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic. This role requires adherence to safety standards and accurate documentation of all cable layouts and tests.

Main Responsibilities

• Install and secure network cables such as CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic through ceilings, walls, conduits, and cable trays.
• Properly terminate cables and conduct testing using tools like punch down tools, crimpers, and cable testers.
• Set up and label network components like patch panels, racks, and cable management systems.
• Interpret blueprints, floor plans, and network diagrams to guide installations.
• Conduct thorough testing and certification of cable installations to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair any cabling faults or issues.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment, following all relevant building and safety codes.
• Keep detailed records of cable installations, layouts, and testing results.
• Prepare job sites by reviewing work orders and blueprints, ensuring tools and materials are ready.
• Route cables appropriately through various pathways including conduits, ducts, floors, walls, trenches, and ceilings.
• Perform cable laying daily, including underground and overhead installations as required.
• Inspect cable runs for performance, continuity, and physical integrity using appropriate testers.
• Coordinate closely with supervisors, electricians, engineers, and IT teams to meet project objectives.
• Report progress, issues, or delays regularly to site management.

Additional Information

This role involves daily cable laying as a key duty and requires compliance with all safety and operational protocols at the site.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges between ₹12,000 and ₹14,000.
