Role Overview

The position of Electrical Technician is a full-time, on-location role based in Bogoso. The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, guaranteeing their safe and efficient functioning in accordance with both internal company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of electrical installations.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform corrective repairs on electrical systems and components.
• Assist with testing and commissioning new electrical setups.
• Interpret and utilize electrical drawings and schematics for guidance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, fellow technicians, and clients to provide clear communication about project progress.
• Adhere rigorously to safety protocols and preventive maintenance schedules.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in electrical maintenance and handling of electrical equipment, including preventive maintenance and repair work.
• Strong foundation in electrical principles and essential electrical engineering concepts relevant to field operations.
• Skilled in diagnosing and resolving electrical system issues by identifying root causes and applying effective solutions.
• Possess relevant technical certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related disciplines.
• Familiar with safety regulations, codes, and best practices governing electrical installation and upkeep.
• Able to read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Effective communicator with a keen eye for detail, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Prior experience working as an Electrical Technician or in comparable roles, preferably within commercial or industrial environments.
