Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Electrical Construction Engineer to manage electrical installations, testing, and commissioning activities at our construction locations. The role demands ensuring that all electrical engineering efforts are conducted safely, adhere to schedule and budget, and fully comply with design specifications and local electrical regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical installation tasks such as conduit placement, cable tray routing, wiring, distribution board (DB) assembly, switchgear setup, lighting arrangements, transformer setup, and grounding.
- Interpret and apply electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), CAD/BIM plans, schematic drawings, and coordinate with MEP frameworks.
- Manage subcontractors, electricians, and technicians to uphold high standards of workmanship, maintain productivity, and meet project deadlines.
- Conduct quality assurance and control through site inspections, prepare Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and verify that all equipment complies with approved technical documentation and building norms.
- Lead electrical testing activities including megger testing, insulation resistance, loop testing, continuity checks, and transformer load assessments before project handover.
- Handle material management by reviewing requisitions, confirming that received electrical materials align with project specifications, and overseeing site inventory to avoid shortages or surplus.
- Implement safety measures such as lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, maintain electrical safety standards on site, and ensure use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma).
- Accumulate 3 to 7 years of practical site execution experience within commercial, residential, or industrial construction domains.
- Skilled in reading electrical single-line diagrams and interpreting electrical layouts.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM software is advantageous.
- Understanding of national or local electrical codes including NEC, IS, IEC, or municipal standards.
Compensation and Work Details
Offered salary ranges from ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 per month.
