About the Role
We seek a skilled and knowledgeable Site Engineer or Project Engineer to oversee and direct project execution activities related to infrastructure, electrical, MEP, railway, and solar initiatives. The role encompasses supervising site operations, ensuring quality and safety standards, managing resources, handling project documentation, and ensuring that work aligns with approved plans, technical criteria, and client expectations within designated durations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations to monitor project advancement, enforce adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and meet project deadlines.
- Analyze engineering schematics, electrical layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), bills of quantities (BOQs), and method statements; collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage installation and commissioning tasks involving electrical, MEP, infrastructure, and solar photovoltaic systems, including components like cables, switchgear, transformers, solar panels, and inverters.
- Conduct quality control inspections onsite, validate material standards and workmanship, keep detailed inspection logs, and enforce adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols, supervise personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, perform safety audits, and ensure compliance with statutory and client safety regulations.
- Coordinate personnel, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; track material availability, usage, reconciliation, and optimize utilization of resources.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports; validate completed work quantities; assist with BOQ reconciliation, running account billing, preparation of as-built drawings, and final handover documentation.
- Engage with stakeholders including clients, metro rail representatives, consultants, vendors, utility bodies, and subcontractors to facilitate inspections, approvals, and smooth project progression.
- Organize testing, commissioning, resolution of outstanding issues, final inspections, and hand over completed projects successfully.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in site execution and project engineering within electrical, MEP, infrastructure, or solar sectors.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Strong coordination capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, effective communication, and report writing skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and project management tools is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work onsite, travel, and relocate as projects demand.
Additional Information
Work locations include Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Hyderabad, or Ahmedabad, as per project needs. The offered salary range is INR 300,000 to 800,000 annually. Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electrical Engineering.
