Electrical Site Engineer

Job Overview

This position requires comprehensive management of electrical projects on-site, including creating project schedules, material planning, and resource allocation. The role involves close review and coordination of electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to ensure all installations are accurate and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and bill of quantities (BOQs) along with material needs and resource estimation.
• Verify and analyze electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and technical specifications.
• Direct electrical installation operations at the construction site, supervising contractors, subcontractors, technicians, and electricians.
• Enforce adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Manage procurement processes for required electrical equipment and materials.
• Review and approve technical submittals, datasheets, vendor documents, and material approvals.
• Track project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical installations and systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, HVAC, fire & safety departments to ensure project integration.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings to resolve technical and site-related challenges efficiently.
• Verify quantities, measurements, invoices, and confirm the completion status of contractor work.
• Maintain comprehensive project records comprising as-built drawings, test results, and handover documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant electrical standards, statutory regulations, and company HSE policies, promoting site safety.
