Role Overview
The Electrician performs service and installation tasks primarily for residential clients. While you work independently, collaboration with the team is also part of the role. Excellent communication skills are necessary to reassure and assist customers, especially during stressful situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, servicing, reconnection, and upgrades of electrical systems, heating and air conditioning units, and water heaters in residential settings.
- Follow daily travel routes and analyze work orders to address customer concerns, ensuring proactive problem-solving.
- Maintain inventory in your service vehicle.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues at customer residences.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to build trust and satisfaction.
- Comply with all applicable local and state electrical codes.
- Install and maintain wiring, control systems, and lighting infrastructure.
- Use testing equipment and tools to identify, repair, or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures as necessary.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- At least 3 years of residential electrical experience.
- A Journeyman License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Capability to advise customers on repair versus replacement options.
- Proficient in safely operating and maintaining required tools.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A clean driving record.
- Basic proficiency with computers and competency using an iPad for documenting work.
- Fluent English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
Preferred skills include experience with ServiceTitan software and sales knowledge.
Compensation & Work Schedule
- Pay is commission-based and varies with experience.
- Typical workday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexible start and end times aligned to business needs.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday with an on-call rotation.

Salary Range
Annual compensation ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 based on experience.
