Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret job specifications and drawings to develop competitive project bids through thorough estimating processes.
  • Conduct site and tender walk-throughs to verify drawings, identify potential site conflicts, and propose proactive solutions.
  • Prepare material and labor quantity take-offs using industry-specific estimating software to generate precise quotations.
  • Engage with clients to clarify specifications, gather necessary information, and address queries.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure pricing essential for comprehensive final proposals.
  • Take part in bid closure activities, including review meetings to finalize submissions.
  • Participate in post-award handover meetings with project management teams to ensure seamless project transitions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience specifically in electrical estimating; hands-on trade experience is advantageous.
  • Possession of an Electrical Engineering degree, diploma, or related education and/or field experience.
  • Experience in design-build construction projects, with preference for candidates who have managed entire P3 project cycles.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with estimating tools such as Accubid Pro or Enterprise, LiveCount, and Bluebeam Revu considered a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
