Electrical Estimator

Overview

Join Equans ANZ as an Electrical Estimator focusing on data centre projects in Silverwater, NSW. This role offers the chance to contribute to Australia's critical infrastructure development, working on technically advanced electrical projects in the fast-growing data centre sector.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop precise and prompt estimates for medium to large electrical and data centre assignments.
• Interpret tender documents, technical drawings, and project specifications carefully.
• Assess project risks, costs, labor needs, and material requirements accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to create commercially sound solutions.
• Engage suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Assist in project planning, ensuring estimates align with operational budgets and goals.
• Foster strong industry relationships and provide mentorship to fellow estimating staff.
• Review complex estimates across various project teams to maintain quality and consistency.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) and at least three years as an Electrical Estimator.
• Prior experience in data centre estimation is highly desirable.
• Trade experience in electrical or data communications backed by solid knowledge of electrical systems and infrastructure projects.
• Skilled in estimation software, with strong abilities to interpret technical plans and documents.
• Exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
