Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing all hotel systems with the goal of maximizing equipment efficiency while adhering to CLP standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement CLP policies and standards concerning energy conservation, water and sewage quality control, fire prevention, life safety, and plant maintenance.
• Manage operation and supervision of plant and equipment, ensuring effective energy management practices and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain logs and utility consumption records related to Pomec standards, while controlling labor standards and costs.
• Oversee housekeeping and appearance of all equipment, plant rooms, and affiliated workshops.
• Organize and manage the energy management function within the Pomec department effectively.
• Measure and analyze operating efficiencies of major equipment biannually, taking corrective actions when deviations exceed standards.
• Propose and support initiatives to enhance procedural efficiency and reduce costs.
• Foster positive employee relations and participate in fire prevention training programs.
• Utilize training resources to develop subordinate staff skills and prepare them for future roles.
• Plan and supervise routine preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal plant operation.
• Ensure hotel repair and maintenance requests are handled promptly, responding to urgent requests within 10–15 minutes and confirming completion with guests.
• Conduct safety inspections before events and throughout hotel premises, proactively identifying and mitigating hazards.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage and Housekeeping departments to meet requirements for functions and events.
• Provide work direction, resolve issues, schedule tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Enforce strict safety compliance during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Monitor and supervise subordinate work, ensuring delegated tasks meet quality standards.
• Plan work schedules efficiently to achieve project goals using sound time management and organizational skills.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and undertake additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience working in international hotel environments.
• Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams, demonstrating enthusiasm and motivational leadership.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to task execution and diligent follow-up.
