Electrical Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee all electrical activities on our construction site, ensuring efficient, compliant, and safe execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, designing, and implementing electrical works across the construction site.
• Preparation and review of electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications to guarantee accuracy.
• Supervision of electricians, wiremen, and contractors working on electrical installations.
• Ensuring installations follow approved plans and conform to safety standards.
• Performing load calculations to assure effective power distribution.
• Monitoring inventory of electrical materials such as cables, distribution boards, switches, and lighting fixtures.
• Coordinating with civil and other departments to facilitate seamless project progress.
• Maintaining compliance with relevant electrical safety laws and regulations.
• Conducting testing and commissioning of electrical systems prior to handover.
• Troubleshooting issues, responding to breakdowns, and rectifying faults promptly.
• Preparing daily progress reports and updating management on project status.
• Managing material consumption and minimizing waste of electrical supplies.
• Participating in meetings with clients and consultants as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience handling electrical work in construction environments.
• Preferably experienced in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical projects.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and practical site execution.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and statutory norms.
• Effective communication and leadership skills for managing teams.
• Capable of managing time efficiently and solving problems on-site.
• Basic skills in MS Excel and reporting procedures.
