Role Overview
We are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer for our Sydney office to lead and manage both small and large engineering projects. The role involves client interaction throughout the development, design, and coordination phases of engineering tasks. Experience in delivering data centre projects is essential, while exposure to commercial, hotel, retail, and hospitality sectors is highly valued.

You will be familiar with innovative projects and adept at building and maintaining strong client relationships within our sector portfolio. A combination of strong commercial insight and solid technical knowledge in building services design suitable for hotel, hospitality, and leisure sectors is required. This hands-on role suits professionals currently engaged in building services consultancy.
Primary Duties
- Manage small scale projects independently.
- Research, develop, design, and coordinate engineering services related to mechanical or electrical installations and equipment.
- Develop and specify applications for controls, instruments, and operating systems in building engineering services.
- Conduct surveys, tests, and assessments of existing electrical/mechanical installations.
- Define specifications to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and testing align with functional and customer requirements.
- Represent the company in technical meetings with clients, professional teams, and contractors.
- Prepare and modify specifications using software like Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ensure engineering drawings and calculations comply with industry and legal standards.
- Review and validate designs prepared by Intermediate and Graduate Engineers.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and their application.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience utilizing IT-based calculation tools and spreadsheet software.
- Good understanding of British Standards (BS) relevant to engineering.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated managerial capabilities.
- Commitment to ethical working practices in line with company ethics guidelines.
- Preferably experience in consulting or construction sectors.
- A sound understanding of international business operations and global consultancy working environments.
Compensation
The position offers a salary of AUD 90,000 per year.
