Role Description

The position is a full-time on-site Electrical Engineer based in Doha, responsible for the design and evaluation of electrical systems in various building and infrastructure developments. Key activities encompass the creation of drawings and specifications, performing electrical load calculations, interdisciplinary coordination, and ensuring alignment with both local regulations and international standards. The role also demands participation in design reviews, responding to technical inquiries, supporting site supervision, resolving construction-related electrical issues, assisting with cost estimations and value engineering, and preparing technical reports and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong expertise in design of electrical systems including power distribution and lighting for both buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in reading and generating engineering drawings using CAD and BIM software, alongside preparation of detailed technical specifications and documents.
• Capable of performing load calculations, short-circuit studies, protection coordination, and applying relevant electrical codes and standards.
• Experienced in cross-disciplinary collaboration involving architectural, civil, and mechanical teams and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Competent in site inspections, quality control procedures, and troubleshooting technical issues throughout construction and commissioning phases.
• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; possession of professional registration or membership with an engineering institution is favorable.
• Consultancy or design firm experience, ideally within the GCC region and with focus on building services or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized electrical calculation tools alongside strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to collaborate in diverse multi-disciplinary teams, manage strict deadlines, adapt to dynamic project needs while upholding high professional ethics.
• Fluent in both written and verbal English and mandatory Arabic language proficiency.
