Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer to become an integral member of our Brisbane-based team. The selected individual will oversee electrical design activities to achieve project design goals, ensuring that deliverables align with schedules, budgets, client requirements, and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical design solutions adhering to project scopes and requirements.
• Perform electrical design calculations to underpin design tasks.
• Evaluate risks, costs, and technical feasibility within design approaches.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation including User Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications, Traceability Matrices, and Validation Test Plans.
• Support engineering staff in fulfilling design objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers on defining engineering scope.
• Offer expert input to resolve design-related enquiries from project management.
• Mentor junior engineers on design-related tasks.
• Implement electrical wiring and panel assembly solutions following Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) and Low Voltage (LV) design standards.
• Maintain positive client interactions as a recognized technical authority.

Required Expertise and Qualifications

• Hold relevant engineering qualifications or have a minimum of three years of verifiable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Possess strong knowledge of sound engineering methods and the ability to apply AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and Electrical Regulatory standards in designs.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively manage relationships internally and externally.
