Editorial/Publishing Manager

Position Overview

A leading publishing company based in Ibadan is looking to hire a skilled Editorial/Publishing Manager to manage the entire publishing workflow, from content creation through to production and distribution. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, sound editorial decision-making, and substantial industry experience.

Primary Duties

• Oversee the complete publishing cycle, including content development, production, and distribution activities.
• Lead and coordinate teams across editorial, production, and publishing functions.
• Design and execute effective publishing strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Guarantee the quality, precision, and consistency of all published content.
• Manage publication schedules, budgets, and production deadlines efficiently.
• Collaborate with authors, editors, graphic designers, printers, and other involved parties.
• Stay informed on industry trends and detect opportunities to expand business reach.
• Ensure compliance with publication standards and timely delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in publishing or a closely related area.
• Proven skills in editorial judgment, project management, and team leadership.
• Exceptional written and spoken interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and adhere to strict deadlines.
• In-depth understanding of publishing workflows and industry norms.
• A Bachelor's degree in publishing, English, communications, journalism, or allied fields is preferable.

• Monthly Gross Salary Range: ₦300,000 to ₦400,000
