About the Role and Company

The Ecommerce Photographer position involves translating client briefs into compelling visual content for a major Australian retailer. You will collaborate with clients, stylists, producers, and the studio team to ensure consistency, creative expression, and quality throughout photography projects, balancing artistic and commercial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and process e-commerce product and talent images according to briefs.
- Produce consistently high-quality photos aligned with client brand standards.
- Direct on-set activities to optimize outcomes.
- Identify and suggest improvements for image quality, workflows, and studio operations.
- Operate and maintain photography equipment, including lighting, cameras, lenses, and studio gear.
- Manage digital assets with precise archiving and file handling.
- Collaborate closely with photography and production teams and clients to ensure smooth shoot execution.
- Assist broader studio functions and foster a solution-driven environment.
- Handle technical issues promptly, adapting to shifting production priorities.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in retail ecommerce photography, covering product and talent shoots.
- Advanced proficiency with Capture One software.
- Strong expertise in studio lighting, camera systems, and photographic workflow management.
- Track record of delivering high-volume, quality images consistently.
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities in a creative team setting.
- Positive, flexible attitude focused on achieving results.
- Effective problem-solving abilities within fast-paced production environments.
- Self-driven and capable of both independent and team-based work.
Preferable Skills
- Experience within large retail or agency studio environments.
- Familiarity with ecommerce content production processes and digital asset management platforms.
- Exposure to photographing diverse product categories.
- Basic skills in image retouching and post-production.
- Interest in new photography technologies, automation, and innovative content production methods.
