About Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain efficient processes within your designated workflow area to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader and team members to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure consistent completion of tasks adhering to established protocols without interruption.
  • Lead and supervise the team, including coaching, training, and acting as Store Manager during designated shifts.
  • Identify operational issues promptly and escalate them appropriately to the Function Lead for resolution.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by following safety procedures, reporting hazards, and prioritizing team wellbeing.
  • Engage actively in collaboration and communication within the team to maintain a positive workplace atmosphere.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong commitment to process excellence and ongoing learning to improve workflows.
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships across different functions and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in team leadership including delegation, progress monitoring, coaching, feedback provision, and motivation.
  • Expert knowledge in compliance requirements relevant to the function and excellent communication skills to articulate tasks and standards clearly.
  • Consistent behavior that supports and reflects the company's values.
  • Availability to work at least four weekend shifts each month and one evening shift weekly.

Working Schedule

  • Tuesday: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Thursday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Friday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Saturday: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
