Kids Inc. is a leading childcare provider in Ireland with over 25 years of experience. Operating more than 70 Breakfast and Afterschool Care programs nationwide, as well as 5 Creche and Preschool services, Kids Inc. supports children and families across Ireland with a nurturing and professional environment.

Role Overview

We are hiring a full-time, permanent Early Years Educator at our Swords location. This role involves creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where children can learn through play, exploration, and positive interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Facilitate learning and development through play-based activities.
  • Observe and document children's interests and progress, planning accordingly to enhance their learning.
  • Support children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language growth.
  • Supervise children during meals and daily routines.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate observations and records aligned with program standards.
  • Keep the environment clean, safe, and organized according to company and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

  • QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or an equivalent qualification recognized by DCEDIY.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Positive, dependable, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute positively to workplace culture.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in creche or early years settings.
  • Certifications in First Aid, Manual Handling, and Food Safety.

Additional Information

All successful applicants must undergo Garda Vetting and provide a valid Police Clearance Certificate if applicable (required for individuals who have lived outside Ireland for over six months since turning 18).

Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage ranging between 4 to 40, specifically from 16.00 to 17.50 per hour.
