We are offering a trainee position for an Early Years Assessor aimed at professionals with management experience in nursery settings ready to transition into assessing Early Years apprenticeships. Job Details
- This is a full-time, permanent role with flexible home-based working arrangements.
- Working days are Monday to Friday with no weekends or unsociable hours required.
- Annual salary ranges between 300,000 and 320,000, reflecting experience and qualifications.
- Full reimbursement of travel expenses is provided.
- Benefits include 21 days of annual leave, two additional weeks paid leave during Christmas, and bank holidays off.

Responsibilities
You will be managing a caseload of Early Years apprenticeship learners, including Functional Skills, mostly remotely via phone, video, and email, complemented by visits to learners’ workplaces. Your main objective is to mentor and guide apprentices through to successful completion of their qualifications.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience as a Deputy Manager or higher within a nursery environment, especially for those without assessor qualifications.
- A valid UK driving license and use of a personal vehicle are mandatory due to travel requirements.
- Ability to operate from a home base, with learner visits mainly around the Royal Tunbridge Wells area and neighbouring locations.
