Role Summary

The Early Childhood Educator will provide an enriching educational experience to children aged 1-5 years, emphasizing emotional, social, and cognitive development. Following the Reggio Emilia philosophy, the educator will nurture curiosity, independence, and a passion for learning while collaborating with families to build a community founded on trust and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Room Leader in executing an inquiry-driven curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, tailored to young children's developmental needs.
• Maintain detailed, ongoing documentation of each child's growth using reflective practices that guide personalized planning.
• Observe, assess, and develop tailored plans for small groups to enhance holistic development.
• Create dynamic indoor and outdoor learning spaces that spark imagination and curiosity.
• Build meaningful and respectful relationships with families, providing frequent communication and involving them in their child's educational journey.
• Work cooperatively with team members to encourage a positive, inclusive learning environment and participate in team planning and professional growth.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment that complies with regulatory standards and Reddam House's quality care and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certificate III, Diploma, or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively pursuing such qualifications.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).

• Commitment to reflective professional practice and participation in ongoing training and school initiatives.
