Job description
Role Overview
This is a remote E-commerce Manager opportunity for a candidate based in Canada. The role is being represented for a partner organization, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps.
You will lead the execution and ongoing improvement of a growing e-commerce environment across both B2B and direct-to-consumer channels. The position focuses on turning commercial strategy into practical delivery, keeping digital operations running smoothly, and coordinating work across merchandising, campaigns, vendors, and internal teams. It is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, commercially aware, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving business.
The opportunity blends the reliability of managing established online channels with the energy of supporting new product launches and expansion initiatives. It offers broad visibility, meaningful responsibility, and a strong chance to influence growth through process excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain e-commerce project plans so that initiatives across multiple online channels stay aligned with business priorities and deadlines.
- Convert strategic goals into specific deliverables, timelines, and accountability structures, while tracking progress and clearing operational blockers.
- Work daily with vendors, agencies, developers, and other digital partners to manage briefs, schedules, quality control, and final outputs.
- Supervise website merchandising, product rollouts, promotional activity, and content readiness to support a smooth customer journey.
- Act as a central connector between E-commerce, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to keep execution coordinated.
- Help improve workflows by identifying automation opportunities, using AI-enabled tools, and driving process enhancement initiatives.
- Maintain operational dashboards, follow key metrics, and prepare structured reporting for leadership.
- Support business continuity as priorities shift, platforms evolve, and growth projects move forward.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 6 years of experience in e-commerce, digital operations, project management, or a similar area.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Shopify; experience with B2B e-commerce, direct-to-consumer operations, or multi-site setups is considered an advantage.
- Prior experience managing relationships with vendors, agencies, developers, or technology partners.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce operations, digital merchandising, campaign execution, and online shopping experiences.
- Comfort working with analytics platforms, reporting dashboards, and performance data to guide decisions.
- Strong planning and project coordination skills with the ability to juggle several priorities at once.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, along with a proactive approach to solving problems.
- A commercial mindset and an understanding of how e-commerce work supports revenue and business results.
- Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity, documentation, reporting, workflow efficiency, or operational processes.
- Full professional fluency in English is required; French is a strong plus.
- Self-driven, flexible, and comfortable in entrepreneurial settings where processes are still evolving.
Benefits
- Competitive base pay of CAD 90,000 to CAD 100,000.
- Performance-linked bonus potential.
- Fully remote work within Canada.
- Exposure to both established e-commerce operations and new product launches.
- High autonomy, ownership, and organizational visibility.
- Direct interaction with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with minimal politics.
- Access to modern e-commerce tools, digital marketing initiatives, and AI-supported workflow improvements.
- Strong opportunities for learning, development, and career progression.
- Occasional travel to the head office for collaboration and strategic planning.
