Job Overview
Rockwell is seeking experienced Duct Fitters for full-time, permanent roles based in County Limerick. These positions involve working on major pharmaceutical and industrial projects, focusing on duct system installation and maintenance in line with safety standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain ductwork systems while adhering to safety guidelines and project specifications.
- Handle various materials such as sheet steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to carry out installations.
- Organize the installation process to avoid clashes and coordinate effectively with other trades involved.
- Fabricate and fit unistrut brackets and threaded rod hangers as required.
- Utilize diverse mechanical tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and to standard.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least two years of relevant experience in duct installation, HVAC, or similar fields.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools and familiar with safety equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities related to duct systems.
- Detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and adept at prioritizing tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team and with clients.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
- Mandatory certifications including Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and IPAF.
- Willingness to work in diverse conditions such as at heights, confined spaces, and various temperatures.
