- Function as Visual Observer (VO) or provide assistance to Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) during VLOS operations.
- Continuously track drone and payload performance during flights, promptly reporting any irregularities or system malfunctions to the PIC.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the PIC and mission team concerning environmental hazards, obstacles, or factors influencing safety and mission success.
- Assist in emergency protocols including controlled landings, failsafe activations, and system recovery processes.
- Contribute to post-flight procedures such as downloading mission data, inspecting equipment and batteries, and managing data storage and backups.
- Ensure adherence to local and international aviation regulations (including GACA, FAA Part 107, EASA), company standard operating procedures, and client-specific safety and quality standards.
- Engage in continuous professional training and certification to stay updated with technical knowledge and operational readiness.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in aviation, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Prior experience as a UAV co-pilot, visual observer, or ground crew is beneficial.
- Familiarity with drone systems, payload integration, mission planning software, and relevant aviation regulatory frameworks such as GACA, FAA, and EASA.
