Overview
U-Drive Vehicle Hire is seeking a motivated and friendly Driver/Valeter to join our Poole branch team. This role requires a proactive individual with a full UK driving license, capable of handling a variety of vehicles while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Role Details
As part of a 45-hour workweek operating on a Monday to Sunday rolling schedule, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles between locations and customers, ensuring each rental vehicle is clean, checked, and ready for use.
Primary Duties
- Transport, deliver, and retrieve vehicles as instructed by the branch.
- Thoroughly clean and valet vehicles adhering to U-Drive’s quality benchmarks.
- Inspect vehicles post-hire for damages and record findings.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and sign-in/out at the branch.
- Carry out thorough Pre-Rental and Post-Rental inspections, reporting any faults or damages.
- Park vehicles in assigned areas within the branch facility.
- Provide assistance to customers by demonstrating vehicle features and controls.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a valid full UK driving license.
- Exhibits a positive and proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Communicates effectively to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Works well within a team environment and is trustworthy and honest.
- Capable of managing priorities in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- Responds promptly and courteously to customer and team queries.
