About the Role

Join GXO Logistics as a Drivers Mate supporting the Store to Home team working alongside B&Q in Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU). This permanent full-time position involves working a rotating two-week shift pattern: one week Monday to Friday, the next week Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 7:30 AM. The contracted hours total 40 per week.

Key Duties

• Collaborate as part of a two-person team to deliver products directly to customers' chosen rooms on a multi-drop basis, averaging 16 drops daily in off-peak and up to 24 drops during peak seasons.
• Support the delivery driver with parking and maneuvering the company vehicle and assist with loading and unloading as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring merchandise is delivered in perfect condition.
• Maintain clear, polite communication with customers regarding delivery times and any delivery issues.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in multi-drop home delivery is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills both in verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks involving manual handling such as pulling, lifting, and pushing.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset with a 'can-do' attitude.
• Consent to undergo a pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Preparedness to commute to Milton Keynes per the scheduled shifts.
