Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Driver position located in Bahir Dar involves operating company vehicles responsibly to transport guests, staff members, and supplies between designated locations. Daily duties include route planning, adherence to traffic and safety guidelines, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and assisting guests during boarding and disembarking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks safely to transport passengers or cargo as assigned.
  • Plan efficient routes while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Perform regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist guests courteously with boarding, luggage handling, and responding to basic inquiries.
  • Coordinate with the hospitality team to provide timely and professional transportation service.
  • Complete all necessary logs, records, and documentation accurately.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to management.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to drive trucks safely for passenger and cargo transportation.
  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or equivalent appropriate for local regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities to interact professionally with guests and staff.
  • A clean driving record and comprehensive knowledge of local road safety rules and traffic laws.
  • Competency in reading and following schedules, maps, and instructions, with flexibility to adjust to route changes.
  • Physical fitness to remain seated for extended periods and assist with luggage and vehicle inspections.
  • Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or professional driving is advantageous.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and dedication to upholding safety standards and guest satisfaction.
