Role Overview

As a Driver for Coates based at the Kwinana branch, you will be pivotal in representing the company by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery and collection of equipment, while delivering outstanding customer support. This permanent full-time role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule starting at 6:30 AM, with hourly pay disbursed fortnightly.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and retrieve equipment safely and efficiently to and from customer sites.
• Operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other machinery when licensed to perform safe loading and unloading.
• Secure loadings per company standards, legal regulations, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
• Guide customers on equipment usage and safety upon delivery.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspections, documentation, and comply with all relevant procedures and timelines.
• Follow all Coates safety policies, client site rules, and CoR guidelines strictly.
• Support yard operations including equipment recovery and maintaining a safe, orderly workspace.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license.
• Preferred licenses include forklift, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), vehicle crane, or tilt tray experience.
• Strong experience securing loads using correct restraint methods during loading/unloading.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Chain of Responsibility standards with a commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication capabilities.
• Background in equipment hire, transport, construction or allied fields with intermediate computer literacy is highly valued.
