We are seeking skilled Drainlayers, Registered Drainlayers, and Drainage Operators to join reputable civil contractors involved in commercial civil projects across major infrastructure and construction sites in Wellington, New Zealand. Key Responsibilities
Registered Drainlayers
- Lead drainage installation works ensuring compliance with required standards
- Authorize completed drainage tasks and ensure all compliance mandates are satisfied
- Interpret and work from plans and specifications accurately
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Uphold high standards in safety, quality, and workmanship
Drainlayers and Drainage Operators
- Install and maintain drainage systems in commercial civil projects following plans and specifications
- Coordinate with site teams and broader crews to facilitate project flow
- Operate machinery and assist with other site activities as needed
- Develop skills and experience progressively toward registration
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in drain laying is essential
- Possession of a Registered Drainlayer qualification or active pursuit of registration
- Ability to comprehend plans and work autonomously with limited supervision
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems, regulatory compliance and site safety practices
- Dependable, self-motivated with dedication to delivering high-quality work
