Draftsman - Ship Design & Engineering

Overview

Nexmarin is seeking a skilled Draftsman to contribute to our marine engineering team based in Dubai, UAE. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting naval architecture and marine engineering initiatives by creating precise technical drawings essential for vessel design, modifications, and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed and accurate technical drawings for vessel construction and modifications.
• Develop ship structural and statutory drawings supporting marine engineering projects.
• Collaborate closely with naval architects and engineering teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of two to three years' professional experience in drafting within the marine engineering or naval architecture sector.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for creating and editing technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with ship structural drawing preparation.
• Knowledge and experience in producing statutory drawings conforming to marine standards.
• Familiarity with Rhino software is advantageous but not mandatory.
