Role Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated principal engineer to join our engineering department. You will contribute significantly to our flagship property management platform that provides real estate professionals with efficient management of accounting, maintenance, communication, and leasing workflows through cloud technology. This role involves deep technical problem solving, mentoring, and leadership in software architecture and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess comprehensive understanding of existing systems and functionality.
• Design and implement highly efficient algorithms and data structures at a large scale.
• Coach and mentor technical team members to develop strong skills and productivity.
• Identify and eliminate development impediments early by implementing foundational core designs.
• Actively contribute hands-on by creating new features and improving existing functionalities using technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Web API, Angular, and MySQL, deployed on AWS infrastructure.
• Encourage and facilitate the team to produce high-quality code efficiently, simplifying complex problems, and guiding junior engineers with clear technical strategies.
• Lead architectural design and make critical high-level system design decisions impacting the entire organization, ensuring systems remain scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
• Formulate and implement technical strategies, spearheading major projects, and influencing organization-wide architectural directions.

Required Qualifications

• More than 10 years of professional experience in end-to-end software development, including project planning and feature delivery.
• Expert-level hands-on proficiency in C#, .NET Framework 4.5 and .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular, TypeScript, React, and/or Vue.js.
• Deep understanding of creating and consuming RESTful services and APIs.
• Robust skills in relational database technologies such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Experience with modern source code management tools, especially Git, with knowledge of branching and merging workflows.
• Outstanding presentation and facilitation capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to lead and architect complex software systems and mentor junior engineers.
