Role Summary
The Document Controller position is a full-time, on-location role based in Doha, Qatar, tasked with managing, organizing, and preserving all documents and records related to Aldarmarine’s projects. Responsibilities include receiving, reviewing, registering, and distributing various documents such as contracts, drawings, procedures, reports, and correspondence following company protocols. The controller keeps document logs updated, monitors revisions to ensure proper version control, and archives documents both digitally and physically. This role involves collaboration with project teams, clients, and vendors to guarantee completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of documents. Daily duties also encompass maintaining document templates, enforcing documentation procedures, supporting audit processes, and generating reports reflecting documentation status for management review.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Document Management and Records Management to effectively organize, store, and retrieve information.
- Strong skills in Documentation and Project Documentation to prepare, assess, and maintain project files, reports, and technical documentation.
- Excellent Communication abilities for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and suppliers and to clarify documentation needs.
- Proficiency with document control software, Microsoft Office suite, and basic experience with database or Document Management System (DMS) applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and the ability to adhere to structured procedures and deadlines.
- Experience dealing with document control in marine, construction, engineering, or industrial project environments is an advantage.
- Educational background comprising a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, information management, or related areas is preferred.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages and familiarity with Qatar’s regulatory environment provide added value.
