Their aim is to enhance customer satisfaction while optimizing occupancy and revenue.
Job Overview
We are looking for motivated individuals to join the Martinez Marina team as Dockhands. This full-time, on-site position requires working Tuesday through Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair docks for safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure the secure mooring of vessels and support docking procedures.
- Assist with coordinating boat arrivals and departures as well as fuel dispensing.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including restroom cleaning and lawn care.
- Deliver excellent customer service to boat owners and marina visitors.
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or practical experience in electrical, mechanical engineering, carpentry, fabrication, or general boatyard work is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold any necessary governmental licenses, permits, or safety certifications relevant to marina operations.
- Minimum of six months experience in a similar dockhand or related role.
- Good understanding of marina operations such as boat lifting, handling, towing, and plant/equipment upkeep.
- Competency in VHF radio communications, first aid, and firefighting procedures.
- Swimming proficiency and a valid driver's license.
Compensation and Employer Statement
