Job Overview

We are looking for motivated individuals to join the Martinez Marina team as Dockhands. This full-time, on-site position requires working Tuesday through Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair docks for safe and efficient operations.
• Ensure the secure mooring of vessels and support docking procedures.
• Assist with coordinating boat arrivals and departures as well as fuel dispensing.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including restroom cleaning and lawn care.
• Deliver excellent customer service to boat owners and marina visitors.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or practical experience in electrical, mechanical engineering, carpentry, fabrication, or general boatyard work is preferred.
• Ability to obtain or hold any necessary governmental licenses, permits, or safety certifications relevant to marina operations.
• Minimum of six months experience in a similar dockhand or related role.
• Good understanding of marina operations such as boat lifting, handling, towing, and plant/equipment upkeep.
• Competency in VHF radio communications, first aid, and firefighting procedures.
• Swimming proficiency and a valid driver's license.

Compensation and Employer Statement
