Role Summary

The District Coordinator position, based on-site in Nalbari, Assam, functions as the primary overseer for YRG’s district-level health initiatives. Responsibilities include managing field activities, tracking program implementation, ensuring consistency with YRG’s goals and standards, and facilitating collaboration among healthcare providers, local partners, authorities, and service recipients.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise the delivery of health programs within the district.
  • Collect, verify, and compile program-related data systematically.
  • Develop progress reports and assist with community training sessions and awareness campaigns.
  • Address operational challenges and oversee field teams as needed.
  • Communicate status updates regularly to regional and central management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in program coordination, field operations, and stakeholder engagement geared toward public health or community projects.
  • Proficiency in basic data collection, monitoring, reporting tasks, and use of office software like spreadsheets, word processors, and presentation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups, including community members, healthcare workers, and government officials.
  • Strong organizational skills including time management, prioritization, and meticulous documentation.
  • Familiarity or exposure to health areas such as HIV, hepatitis, mental health, NCDs, or TB is an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in Nalbari, with movement within the district as necessary, adapting to various field conditions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, community development, or comparable fields is preferred; relevant practical experience may substitute formal education.
  • Dedication to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices aligned with YRG’s mission to enhance community health through integrated care.
