Role Overview

We seek an experienced, senior-level Forward Deployed Engineer to spearhead complex AI deployments for strategic clients. This role requires a hands-on technical leader capable of designing and delivering customized AI agent solutions that leverage Salesforce’s Agentforce platform and contemporary AI technologies. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and ensure seamless integration and optimization throughout solution lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and deployment of scalable AI solutions, personally writing code and guiding junior colleagues to achieve measurable business results.
• Design and implement sophisticated production systems, focusing on AI and Large Language Model (LLM)-powered intelligent agents and automated workflows on the Salesforce platform.
• Collaborate directly with clients to create tailored intelligent agent solutions that address unique business challenges and integrate with existing systems.
• Manage the entire data lifecycle including strategic modeling, building efficient pipelines, and ensuring secure, optimized data integration for advanced AI applications in complex enterprise environments.
• Identify and resolve intricate technical obstacles across all project phases—from data integration to model deployment and agent orchestration—acting as the primary technical troubleshooter.
• Advance innovation within the Agentforce platform by developing custom agents, automating complex processes, enhancing user experiences, and contributing user feedback to product strategy and improvement efforts.
• Build trusted partnerships with client teams, translating operational challenges into actionable technical solutions and guiding technical engagements.
• Perform deep investigative debugging and root cause analysis on system interactions and AI model behaviors to optimize reliability and performance.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions using proofs-of-concept and minimum viable products, frequently in collaboration with clients, to accelerate delivery and innovation.
• Champion and implement engineering best practices to ensure code quality, scalability, security, and maintainability, serving as a role model for technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering high-quality, scalable production solutions in a professional, hands-on environment.
• Robust foundation in computer science or related engineering disciplines.
• Expert proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Java, Python, or Apex.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies, including integrating LLMs, utilizing orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, prompt engineering, and working with agentic AI frameworks.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics within enterprise platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Deep experience using and customizing the Salesforce platform, including advanced configuration and development tasks.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to deliver fast, impactful results and lead technical projects.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior staff, and oversee technical aspects of projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to client locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce platforms.
• Background in developing and deploying conversational AI solutions, especially in regulated industries.
• Professional-level expertise in Apex and/or Python programming languages.
• Prior roles as a hands-on technical lead or architect with direct customer engagement.
• Possession of advanced Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce CRM clouds including Service, Sales, and Marketing.
• Experience with Salesforce Flows and Lightning Web Components, including creating complex custom developments.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or frameworks.
