Job description

Role Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, where you will collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient pharmaceutical and healthcare service delivery. Your daily work will include managing prescriptions, advising patients on medication, and providing excellent customer service within the store environment located in the UK.

Primary Duties

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and facilitating prescription collection while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff to support the pharmacy's service management and delivery.
  • Offer knowledgeable advice to patients on medicines, directing complex queries to pharmacists.
  • Adhere stringently to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain the safe, legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Stay informed on store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
  • Assist patients in managing prescriptions effectively, including supporting medicine adherence and minimizing waste.
  • Utilize and adapt to advanced dispensing technologies to enhance patient safety and service efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have completed or be pursuing the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification (or equivalent) or be partway through the first year of an MPharm degree.
  • Must hold a current, valid right to work in the UK; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not provided.
  • Prior experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not essential.
