Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in Dammam involves coordinating daily transportation activities. The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling vehicle assignments, managing driver deployment, and ensuring timely execution of pickups and deliveries. The role requires effective communication among drivers, technicians, clients, and other stakeholders, including handling customer inquiries and maintaining updated job statuses within management systems. Additionally, the role demands proactive problem-solving to address any scheduling or routing conflicts, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and keeping accurate operational records to support smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in dispatching tasks including efficient route planning, driver allocation, and schedule management.
- Superior phone communication skills with the ability to manage calls and relay clear instructions effectively.
- Strong focus on customer service, ensuring client inquiries are handled promptly and professionally.
- Capability to operate efficiently in a fast-moving logistics environment, prioritizing tasks and resolving issues swiftly.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications and dispatch or fleet management software systems.
- Knowledge of transportation legislation, safety requirements, and regional roadways in the Eastern Province and broader GCC is beneficial.
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet coordination roles is preferred.
- Excellent organizational aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work cooperatively within varied teams.
