Overview
Bumper to Bumper Canada is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Dispatcher to join their growing team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role offers an opportunity to work in the automotive aftermarket parts industry with a dynamic and supportive environment.
Daily Responsibilities
- Organize driver schedules to meet delivery deadlines and time constraints.
- Optimize delivery routes and assign drivers based on location and delivery priorities.
- Collaborate with the store manager and internal sales team to plan and adjust delivery routes that satisfy customer needs.
- Manage allocation of vehicles, keys, fuel cards, phones, and delivery paperwork for drivers.
- Ensure drivers log delivery times accurately using dispatch software or manual tracking sheets.
- Pick and pack ordered parts from store inventory to prepare shipments.
- Lead monthly truck inspections and coordinate vehicle maintenance scheduling.
- Report vehicle accidents, monitor daily vehicle condition to ensure maintenance, and verify safety compliance of all vehicles.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Between 1 and 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar dispatch or logistics role.
- Valid driver's license with a strong driving record.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Capability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
