Role Summary
The Dispatch Rider position requires full-time, on-site commitment in Accra. Responsibilities include collecting and delivering packages, documents, and various items to clients and businesses along designated routes. Daily duties involve planning delivery paths, confirming delivery details, maintaining precise delivery records, and securing required signatures or confirmations. The role demands careful handling of consignments, compliance with traffic and safety laws, and conducting routine motorcycle maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness. Effective communication with the operations team, providing prompt delivery updates, and delivering courteous, professional service to customers are essential parts of the job.
Candidate Qualifications
- Strong awareness of road safety and possession of a valid motorcycle license.
- Familiarity with Accra routing and good record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in time management to meet delivery schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Clear communication and customer service skills for professional interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Basic motorcycle maintenance knowledge, including inspection of fuel, tires, and essential parts.
- Dependability, integrity, punctuality, and responsibility in handling packages and confidential materials.
- Prior experience as a dispatch rider or similar logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to comprehend delivery instructions, utilize mobile phones or GPS tools effectively, and availability to work extended hours or weekends as required.
