Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to sanitize dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays effectively.
• Manually wash kitchen items unsuitable for the dishwasher to maintain hygiene standards.
• Organize and store clean kitchenware properly, keeping the kitchen area neat and orderly.
• Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs for dishwashing machines to management promptly.
• Clean kitchen equipment, appliances, storage areas, and sinks as per scheduled routines.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation, restocking items, and delivering clean utensils when necessary.
• Provide courteous service to residents, ensuring their satisfaction with the dining experience.
• Clear and bus tables during and after meals upon resident completion and request.
• Maintain compliance with local and state health regulations by keeping the kitchen environment clean and safe.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance cleaning on dishwashing machines.
• Perform other assigned duties to support kitchen operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for effective communication.
• Commitment to teamwork in delivering excellent service to residents.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic kitchen appliance operation.
• Capability to stand, walk, and move for 3 to 3.75 hours per shift without needing to sit.

Preferred qualifications include previous experience in food preparation or cleanup, an eagerness to learn and assist others, and genuine enjoyment working with elderly adults.
