About the Role

Join the team at La Posada At Park Ctr in Green Valley, AZ, as a Dishwasher crucial to maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organization, and overall operational efficiency. The position involves ensuring all dishware and utensils meet strict sanitation standards through both machine and manual cleaning, while supporting a hygienic and smooth kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse soiled dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking tools, loading them into racks for machine washing.
• Organize and stack cleaned dishes and transport them to cooks’ stations and storage; rewash items if necessary.
• Regularly replace dishwater in the machine every hour to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Hand wash pots, pans, and trays as required.
• Dispose of trash and garbage by transporting it to dumpsters.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing area each shift.
• Clean and roll or unroll floor mats to maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage soak tubs by filling and emptying cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, promptly wiping spills to keep floors dry and safe.
• Assemble and disassemble dishwashing machinery for cleaning or maintenance.
• Monitor dishwashing cycles and notify supervisors if water temperatures fall below safety levels.
• Maintain hygiene by not touching clean dishes after handling dirty ones without washing hands first.
• Perform additional reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor consistent with qualifications and minimal orientation.

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors within a climate-controlled building with heating and cooling systems. Expect exposure to heat from kitchen equipment and steam, as well as chemical cleaners and sanitizers. Handling of food remnants and hot utensils is also part of the everyday environment.
