About the Role

Join the kitchen staff at Cala Scottsdale as a Dishwasher / Steward, a vital position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in a busy restaurant environment. This role reports to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef and requires dedication to ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools properly.
• Keep the dish area orderly and clean during shifts.
• Maintain sanitation of floors, drains, walls, trash zones, and other kitchen spaces.
• Support cooks and kitchen staff by assisting in keeping workspaces tidy and organized.
• Manage trash and recycling removal as required.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and work surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing machines, sinks, and surrounding areas.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines rigorously.
• Help with cleaning duties during opening and closing periods.
• Effectively communicate supply, chemical, or equipment needs to the kitchen team.
• Work efficiently during peak service while keeping focus on organization and tidiness.
