Dishwasher

Overview

Big Whiskey's American Restaurant & Bar is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dish room. This role involves washing and sanitizing tableware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools to support smooth operations in the kitchen and dining areas.

Primary Duties

• Operate dishwashing machines: loading, running, unloading, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Ensure the dish machine functions properly by monitoring water temperature and promptly reporting issues.
• Wash and properly store all tableware and kitchenware items.
• Keep the dish room orderly and clean at all times.
• Maintain sufficient supplies of clean tableware for the service areas.
• Conduct trash inspections every 15 minutes and manage waste disposal duties including bagging and removing trash to the dumpster.
• Handle tableware with care to avoid damage or loss.
• Maintain adequate inventory of detergents and cleaning materials.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as necessary.
• Assist with light food preparation and portioning tasks as needed.
• Fill in at other areas when requested by management to ensure efficient restaurant operation.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience is required.
• Capable of working in a hot, humid, wet, and noisy environment for extended periods.
• Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for up to five hours.
• Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
