Role Summary and Schedule

Sifted is seeking a Dishwasher to join their culinary team working Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role operates within a fast-paced commercial kitchen preparing lunches for leading startups. The dishwasher will support food safety and cleanliness standards, working closely with an experienced executive chef in the commissary kitchen.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform dishwashing duties efficiently
  • Manage receipt and proper storage of food deliveries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-in and dry storage areas
  • Complete cleaning and closing tasks including waste and cardboard disposal
  • Assist with light food preparation tasks
  • Communicate effectively with the chef and manager regarding any kitchen issues or concerns

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in kitchen roles such as line cook, food prep, dishwasher, or porter
  • Background in catering and event service preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
